The world is eclipsed, the night Stygian;
Standing alone on the Prime meridian ,
Owls hooted, in the desolate gloom,
Rudderless, walking towards doom !
My love for her, lighted every tread !
Sat alone, draped in Venetian red !
Clasping her hands, on her lap,
She lost my love, sometime back;
Obvious, she felt nothing of my touch;
Oblivious, she couldn’t see me much;
She could hear me, calling her,
Said she lost my love, somewhere!
And we searched in vain the lost love !
Given my heart and all the love I have,
She drifted, out of my clutch,
In darkness again, abandoned as such!!
