ANGUISH

ANGUISH 1

Raging from the mountains above,
Stream flows quietly in meadows,
Storms and gale batters,
Raft in rippling waters,
Survive only on shores,
Till the nature restores!
Bent palm trees and leaves,
Wind whistling through olives,
Tall grass over river banks,
Heaves and sighs, the outer flanks,
Birds of the same feather,
Huddling in their nest together,
Till the clear sky and sea
Meets, sun kissed warmth and luxury!
Love to fly in a winged fashion,
Lack of mate, cuts thy passion!
Prisoned for ages unknown,
None can hear me moan!
Gnawing the cage thy bill aches,
Through the nights,till daybreak!
Before I see my wings grow,
Clipped for what? To make a pillow!
Will I fly again to enjoy the beauty?
I'm happy to die in nature’s fury
My dreams of yonder fades
Finally 'am rigid,as my eye greys!!

  1. “Birds of the same feather, huddling in their nests together”, this line touched me. If we think, there is so much depth in these lines. Lovely! 😊
